Something happens between the Baby to boy stage that the father does not stick around to see the Man. They do not take the time to get to know each other like talk of serious commitment (marriage). No sign of relationship growth in any capacity. I have seen alot of down fall from the father leaving the family, which leaves the mother all the responsibilities to raise the child. I started with Boy and girl indicating that the two are too young having children. Instead of getting married and planning to have a family. They settle for fleshly roller coaster rides of instant gratification and I will deal with what happens later attitudes. The only problem is later is now. Everyday we see this happening, the family is not prepared to raise the child because of this attitude. Instead of two their is one trying to raise the child and now you have a disfunctional set up of the family foundation. This can cause lack of financial stability, emotional support, male leadership and family guidance.

We sometime choose people for the wrong reasons. Maybe we choose them for how they look, money they have, how they make us feel physically or because of their fame. Those are not the things you look for when choosing someone to start a family. Right reasons like being responsible, trustworthy, supportive, respectful and commited to you. The ideal situation is to find someone you truely love for the (Right Reasons) and get married. This is establishing a real commitment.

This is not just a relationship problem it is a social problem as well. This problem effects Society everyday.

Please feel free to comment. My name is Jerone Woodard and I am concerned about today's student athlete. I played college basketball in the mid-late 80's and things were alot different compared to today's student athlete set up. I believe that some of the NCAA rules are out of date for this present time. How do you feel about NCAA rules at this present time? Please feel free to respond to my post with any questions or feedback.

wood86
jeronewoodard@yahoo.com
